Gina Conway from Gina Conway Aveda Lifestyle Salons and Spas has won the United Kingdom and overall Aveda Fashionista Photographic for Europe 2013. The UK entries were judged by trade magazines including Creative Head, Estetica, Hairdressers Journal and Professional Hairdresser. The international judges were: Amanda Dicker (The Chapel), Nicky Pope (Tribute Magazine), Jo Mckay (Aveda European Education and Hair Colour specialist).
Ginas prize is to participate in a photo shoot along with all the other country finalists from Europe. The shoot will be led by the European Artistic Directors, Jo McKay and Bastian Casaretto.
To add to this, as overall winner of the coveted Fashionista Photographic Award for Europe, she has been invited to support backstage at New York Fashion Week in the Spring of 2014.
I am thrilled to have won this prestigious award. It is a great boost to me and my team. Taking part in the photo shoot and New York Fashion Week will give us a great insight to forthcoming trends. Thank you Aveda, says Gina Conway.
Runners up for the UK awards were Verity Forster from Baroque, Harrogate and Emma Wainwright from Soul Hair, Cheshire.
