Hi guys,

You all are probably kinda sick of me posting threads asking dummy questions but here goes :green:
If I go mobile I know that I will definitely need insurance but do I need to register as self-employed in my case anyway?
I am still a student (starting my A-levels now) therefore I wouldn't have enough time for clients to make anything above the 5, 000 pounds that don't usually get taxed.

so are you qualifed to practice then don't mean to act dumb but you will need to be to get insurance, and yes you will need to register as self empolyed regardless of how much you think you will earn you have to do it within the first 3 months of starting. hope that helps

Yeah I am qualified i just finished a 4 day course in liquid and powder with young nails :)

well thats all good then :)

thanks for the info

Ive just been on a tax office course for the newly self employed. They said you have to register within 3 months of starting your business and can face penlties if you dont. If you have very low earnings you can be considered for exemption from class 2 self employed ni conts.
As you said you probably wont pay any tax so you might as well be above board, you can advertise etc as much as you want then. Good luck! x
