My skin is really really dry and as soon as I put my foundation on it looks worse. I cleanse, tone and moisturize every day using the kaeso hydrating range and I use their facial exfoliator every 2-3 days. I'm starting to run low on my cleanser and foundation so I'm looking for some new ones. What is the best skincare and foundation for dry skin? X

Hi,

I have this problem too.
It sounds strange but I got a shampoo from my doctor for an itchy scalp.. It's removed all the dead skin cells on my scalp so I used it on my face with exfoliating gloves..
My face felt amazing, so after that I decided to have a proper skin care regime.
I brought Olay essentials cleanser, toner and night cream.
This has helped tremendously! I'm not flake free..
I had steroid creams from the doctor to try and get rid of it before and it didn't work.
The shampoo I had is now on sale in sainsburys it's a tiny bottle for the price. But if it works it works!!!

Sorry I'm not a lot of help but thought I would share my skin story haha

X

My advice is to go visit a skin specialist or a good salon so the therapist can asses your skin in person, it's very hard to give advice when you cannot see or feel the skin itself plus there are many questions during a consultation that need answering. Im a Dermalogica skin specialist but of course there are other pro ranges out there.

I had the same problem and I was recommended environ or liz earle skin care. I tested both and prefered liz earle although it's more cosmetic whereas environ has vitamin A I believe?

Anyway my dry skin cleared up within a week and I treated myself to urban decay naked skin foundation. it's lovely. I use one pump for a very light natural look and 2-3 pumps for a night time look. It makes your skin look flawless and it's dewy without looking too oily. I then set it with their all night er setting spray and my makeup still looks flawless when I take it off after 10 hours
