I have just this week passed my bio sculpture assessment. Although I wont be doing a set for a while I was just wondering what price range do you think I should be charging clients.

When I was training on friends etc I only charged them £5 for a set of coloured NNO and £7 for a french NNO. Now that I am qualified I feel I should be charging more but obviously not the full £30-£40 as I've not had the experience of getting a perfect set (trying to make that make sense) . Do you think £15 for a set of colour NNO would be an ideal price or too much? and then when i get more confident I can put the prices up a little? Any help appreciated.

I think it's sometimes wise to charge a little less for a treatment that you have minimal experience in. I'm doing the same at the moment with Creative Brisa. I just completed the course in September so am telling everyone that as I'm new to Brisa I will charge half price for tip and overly which is £15. I will charge £30 full set when i have the confidence in myself. I'm getting alot of interest in this due to the price so it's allowing me plenty of practice.

I would also say that you shouldn't sell yourself short, if you passed you must be of a standard that Bio consider acceptable to promote their product. Some people may think that as you're cheap you're not as good as the next tech down the road, not everyone thinks llike that of course but if i didn't know what i know now about being a nail tech I may have thought along those lines.
I also use Bio - qualified in June this year and charge £20 clear/colour NNO or £25 French

I have rather gone on a bit haven't I, I hope some of my comments are helpful and GOOD LUCK:lol:

Thanks for the advice Jex, I will tell my clients that I am newly qualified that way they will know why Im charging so little. I am hoping I will do quite well with clients for Bio as I only know of 2 other salons that provide Bio one of which is about half an hour drive away in a busy shopping Centre and the other in a home based salon.

Thanks so much. x

Well done on passing your assessment was it as scary as you thought it might be??

Well I ran over time by about 10 mins because I was concentrating too much on getting the infills right as I had only practiced on one other person doing infills. Even then there was still a bit of a ridge where the new gel is put. I did start to panic a little by then but so glad that I passed. My model kept me calm! :|

Anyway guess its just practice practice practice practice from now. Still learning CND acrylics which hopefully I will get the hang of at least one nice set soon!
