Hello!

Would anyone be able to give me any advice with blackhead removal. I had a 17 year old client the other day that head alot of blackheads on his nose.

I just could not get rid of them! I steamed his face for a good amount of time and tried to do removal but it was so difficult.

Any advice / tips anyone?

Thank you in advance xx

Most skincare ranges would have a product that they would recommend to be used as part of your treatment to help with the removal if manual removal doesn't work. Might be best to check with the range you use to see what they suggest.

I use Skinbase MD and it just sucks them out!

How popular is your skin base MD I'm thinking of adding this to my mobile business. Are you mobile or salon based. xx

I have a home salon. It's been quite popular but I'm not sure whether I'll continue with it after the 6 mths trial as I really specialise in intimate waxing and I find facials a bit boring! It's quite lucrative though.

Use scaling fluid (dermalogica) first with it without steam, does the trick nicely

I use Dermalogica scaling fluid & steam, if works fantastically.
I've also had the SkinBase MD machine on the payg (three times in 7 years) but found it wasn't worth it each time. I couldn't do offers after the initial 2 weeks, as it's expensive when you also cost up per treatment of hour rate, cost of md & Skincare products, it wasn't worth it for myself. I use diamond dermabrasion and skin peels with better results x

This doesn't suit all my clients but I've had great results from clients with stubborn blackheads, especially those with 'strawberry' noses. I use the Sephora double-ended blemish extractor. I've used various brands over the years and found that works the best for me. Costs around £20. Use after steaming (if you steam), press lightly on the skin. I don't go over the same area more than twice.
