Hi

Can anyone help me i am 27yrs old and want to get in to beauty, i have taken a short nail extension course and i am about to start doing Sienna x spray tanning, but what i would realy like is to do beauty.

Does anyone in the Manchester (Prestwich, Bury , Whitefield) are have a trainee position or even just some work experinece. as im finding it hard to get training in a college as i need to work too.

Sorry hun but you would need to have been trained or be in training for beauty before anyone could take you on as a trainee due to insurance purposes,
most colleges offer evening classes or you could train in each area of beauty separately through private companies like you are doing the spray tanning course,
always check that the courses are fully accredited and ask which company accredits them so you can double check with the company,
most are accredited by
the guild of beauty,
professional beauty
or babtac,

if any salon took you on at the moment you would only be allowed to do spray tanning (once trained) and nails, and to be honest you would spend more time cleaning the salon for them more than anything with most,

Hiya, I'm in Manchester and currently studying the VTCT Beauty specialist diploma level 2 at a private college in liverpool. It's a bit of a treck and i go a couple of times a week depending on what days the modules are. There's a lot of theory to do at home and practice but i am also starting doing salon days next week when paying clients will be coming in. They also do the NVQ level 2 but I was advised to take the other option as I am a mature student, also I can carry on to the NVQ level 3 as VTCT is the governing body for NVQ's.
