I am in the process of studying to become a teacher but I am not sure how best to display this on my CV as previous employment etc is all beauty related :/

I would just write your CV as normal but include a cover letter. Emphasise the skills you learnt in beauty that are transferable, eg communication skills, working as part of a team and outline how you would utilise them in teaching. Hope that helps.

What you need is a "functional" CV (Google it) where you show the SKILLS you've gained and demonstrated.

You can always re-word things to put a "positive spin" on them without lying! Use teaching-related verbs to describe aspects of what you've done.

At college, maybe you helped your peers out sometimes if they didn't get something?

Training and Coaching new staff?
Mentoring apprentices?
Educating and advising clients?

Thank you :) your responses have been really helpful :)
