I already do shellac CND , but am wondering if I should offer another service .
I don't want to do acrylic so wondered if it's worth my while doing the brisa course ??
For a mobile tech how much do you charge for a set ? What worries me is people pay £20 for a set of acrylic and there done with in 45 mins .
How long does a set take to do by hand with no drills ?
Thanks

Well, as per your title, it's not Shellac extensions, but a full set of Brisa takes me between one and one and a half hours, depending on the state of the client's nails. I charge $55 Canadian for this.

Whats your reason for not wanting to do 'acrylic'?

I'm just wondering because gel contains acrylic too. 'Liquid and Powder' is more suited to some nails than 'Gel' and vice versa, so in my opinion, if you offer one type of enhancement, you should offer both to cater for all clients and types of nails [emoji8]

Umm don't really have a valid reason . I had a course on acrylic a few years ago and really struggled to work with it . I thought maybe the brisa would be easier but maybe not . And just trying to work with something that is cost affective in the uk :)

I now offer brisa gel sculpts, before it was only Shellac. It takes me 2-2,5 hours to do a full set but hoping to improve timings the more I do.

To be honest apart from the odd nail repair I haven't used it much. My client base are used to having their natural nails. And the ladies who like length tend to go for l &p as there is loads of techs doing it cheaply round my way.

Ok thank you . This is what I was fearing and 2.5 hours is quite long I would prob take 3 or more ! X

I'm doing gel extensions instead of acrylics because I like the super shiny finish. My advise is to specialise yourself in something that the cheap shops around don't have. For example in my area there isn't any high quality nail extensions with nail design, therefore I don't need to compete in price. Gel is a bit slower and more expensive but the quality of the nails and finish can't compare to a quick fix. :)
