in a newly qualified level 2. I’m learning more colour corrections at the salon so this is good but it’s a slow process finding suitable clients! Just looking at my own hair for a theoretical purpose....So if changing the tone of level 6 hair to more of a slight mauve brunette, what do I counter it with if the hair has a lot of red and gold tones? If I put ash on there, if it’s green ash will the more golden tones go muddy? If it’s blue ash will they go green. if I put violet on there will this intensify the red tones? Am I overthinking this!?

Just a quick reply as I’m out and about at the moment.
You might find it helpful to download an image of the colour wheel and also the Lightening curve to your phone for a quick check when you’re working on your colour theory.
I’ve no idea what your version of mauve brunette is as it might be very different from mine so probably better to refer to a colour using the ICC numbers.
Remember that purple is made from combining blue & red.
