Coloured Tips Or Acrylic?

Hi i ve seen a few places that do coloured tips as opposed to using a coloured acrylic. Are they any good?
I assume you would have to use a clear l&p over them...

No good, definately rather paint a colour l&p on a tip, why i say is because once the coloured tip grows out you have got to soak it off, if you use a tip and paint over, you can do a maintenence, buff right down and fill as many times as needed!
