Commission?

Hi All!

I'm currently looking for a new beauty role - new to the industry.
A lot of the ads I have responded to say salary + commission. but when I have been to the interviews this all seems to change?

Should commission always be in the offer? and how much commission should i be expecting??

any advice would be really appreciated!

Usually, but not everywhere.
You get a wage to fall back on until you build a clientèle, So whichever is greater.
Some employers do not give a commission on retail until you have reached a minimum sold in the pay period.
So, unless you have years of experience and the knowledge/school to back it up you may have a harder time getting both.
