Just wondering what everyone's views were on the competition in your local area. I've just been having a nose at other people's websites in my town, there are SO many beauty therapists out there!

How do you ensure you stand out from the rest?! xx

hi
ive been thinknig the same thing as you have! there are so many other therapists out there at the mo but i think a good way to stand out is to use a product or offer a service that noone else does. this gives you so exclusivity agaisnt the others.

I thought I did - with my eyelash extensions! But now everyone has cottoned on to it lol. I'm going to do threading - nobody round here does that :)

Hi
i feel it's little things that make you stand out, such as putting your all into everything you do and being really friendly. i think once people enjoy their experience at your salon they tend to say to their friends "oh go to X salon they are lovely there and do a great job". Also keep on top of all training and place certs from workshop days on your walls too.

So everyone may be offering the same services but are clients comfortable with, a lot of salons make the client feel they are on a conveyor belt.

well theres my 2 cents, good luck xxx

I just try and do the best I can and tick as many boxes with my clients and maintain a high standard all the time.:)

I agree, there are so many!

I always try to work to my best possible standards and be friendly, but professional, and agree with Tantrum that word of mouth brings in plenty of clients.

I also try and emphasize any pluses about my salon, that i know can be difficult elsewhere. Such as, loads of free parking right outside....easy wheelchair and push chair access. It all helps xx
