Hi All,

I'm new to the forum, i have been reading all the helpfull advice for a while now.
I am in the middle of buying a tanning salon, the current owner uses 1 part SAVALON to 10 parts water for the spray for cleaning the sunbeds. He didn't want to pay for sanitisers.

Can anyone give me advice on what is the best product to use or can i carry one with this make shift idea?

Many thanks for your response.

I just googled sun bed cleaner and beauty express do an undiluted bottle Buy Undiluted Sun bed Cleaner 5 Litres from Beauty Express and a diluted one Buy Diluted Sun bed Cleaner 5 Litres from Beauty Express.

Hive of beauty do one http://www.hive-online.com/v3/product.asp?id=311

Or contact Mundo and ask them what to use http://www.mundoproducts.co.uk/

Or contact the sun bed supplier and ask them what they recommend.

It's a small amount to pay for your clients health and safety and also surely keeping the bulbs clean is very important to insure clients aren't burnt and get the full treatment they are paying for. You are definitely right to raise the standards.

It is better than nothing I guess but it would only kill bacteria not viruses or fungi and once diluted it could be contaminated and probably pretty useless. Sanitiser is so cheap use the correct product then you will not have to worry about it.

If you are running a professional salon, then you should use professional products.

Taking short cuts with hygiene and cross infection control is dangerous and commercially unwise.

My advice would be to use Mundo Multi Surface Disinfectant Foam or Mundo Multi Surface Disinfectant Wipes. Both products are alcohol free and will not cause any damage to acrylic/plastic/vinyl surfaces on sunbeds.

The products are quick and easy to use and bactericidal, viricidal and fungicidal. Full details of what they are effective against can be found at Disinfectants & hygiene products to prevent spread of disease. - mundo.

Or feel free to call for some advice on 0113 258 5540.

Hope the salon goes well for you!

Many thanks for your help, i really think it is wise to use the correct product. The salon needs a real deep clean and i dread to think the last time it was cleaned properly.

I will be contacting you soon.
