It's difficult to copyright a name, as there may be other people with the same name that have a right to it also.
Anyone can use their name as a trading name, it even gives you the right to use your name as a domain name in countries where you need a registered business name.
Try googling your own name.
As a odd example I own www.billgates.com.au but I'm not the Bill Gates from Microsoft.
