Is it curly, wavy or straight?
How much time does the client have to spend on their hair in the morning?
im just asking in general as four of my friends have extremly dense and thick hair 1 is curl rest are straight and enough time to straighten it x

Natural inversion layers are a great way of getting rid of bulk. Club cut the curls and shape with a razor if she wants to enhance the curl. The straight hair can be point cut and thinned afterwards. Using a heavy moisturising shampoo and conditioner such as Redken All Soft or Aveda Smooth Infusion as home care will solve the rest of the problems.
thankyou but i do point cut and use thinning scissors on the straught hair but still does not appear thinner lol its soo annoying but one of them wants to go shorter as well x

I have a client with the thickest (straight)hair I've ever seen! I cut it shoulder length, leaving it slightly longer each side at an angle, point cut some long layers. For the thinning out, I blow dry then take small sections straighten and thin out each section as I go. She says this is the only method that has ever worked on her hair and made it noticeable thinner (but be sure not to thin out the parting section of the hair, so to keep it looking sleek) hope this helps x
Sometimes the more you thin out thick unruly hair the bigger it gets. Clever layering and avoiding falling in to the over thinning trap is the key as often this sort of hair needs weight. Try channel cutting, especially around the back of the ears where hair tends to gather. I actually avoid thinning scissors as I tgink they ban be a bit lazy
