Does anyone do sms text reminders with salon iris?

Just wondered how to set this up. We have salon iris software and want to do texts.

Yes i do! You need to setup an account with textmagic first (www.textmagic.co.uk) and buy a bundle of text messages. You then set up your message template on the e-mail reminder page and it sends the message as if it is an e-mail.

Thanks for your reply. I am gonna try and set this up. Might be back asking for your help though!! I've had Salon Iris (and love it) for nearly two years now but still not used half the stuff on it.

Do you send out promotions through SMS as well as reminders? Do you email clients reminders aswell?

We do the e-mail reminders by sms and have done one or two promotions by sms but we have about 5000 clients now so it would cost too much to send out 5000 texts all at once!

Hope you manage to get it set up as it is a good feature.
