Hi I had my hair dyed a dark brown over a week ago and was told that clarifying shampoo will lighten it up - it is too dark for me so I need it lightened. Has anyone tried this or knows about.

I was thinking of buying Pantene clarifying shampoo.

Thanks:eek:

hi hun no it doesn`t it is used for taking the build up of products off the hair that regular shampoos can leave behind x:hug:

oh ok Is there a shampoo that will strip/lighten the colour?

I was always told head and shoulders would strip colour and anything citrus based x

I find that Pantene and anti-dandruff shampoo's help fade colours as they are more harsh on the hair. L'oreal Elvive do an anti-dandruff orange shampoo (blue bottle), I use this shampoo when I want my colour to fade a little and it seems to do the trick :) x

I've heard some hairdressers swear by Fairy liquid to fade colour fast! Think you would need a deep conditioner to go with it though!
