Hey guys, Just wanted to share 3 tips on staying connected with your clients during lockdown. Remember that just a wee bit of work on your part just now will reap big rewards for your business in the future.

We are all seeing the constant stream of beauty videos showing how to do our hair, make up etc but have you considered the power of sending a personal demo video direct to your clients. For instance if you are the blow dry queen, why not check through your client database and see who comes to you for a regular blow dry. There is your list of clients who you can send a video to showing some great tips to create a great blow dry at home. Don't underestimate the power of direct contact and the sight of your familiar face, people are seeing the same people day in day out and seeing you is a powerful reminder of the life before lock down and that your still there, as well as your thinking about them personally and what they might be needing right now.

Now is a great time to encourage clients to book with you for their future post lock down appointment. That might seem crazy given we don't actually know when that is gonna be - but it gets us thinking about the future, planning that future and gives you comfort that your clients are coming back, worst case you need to re schedule but what we need right now is hope and this is a great way to support your clients as well as your business (think how many things we all pre order, this is no different). This may also be a great time to offer a free treatment if your clients book a friend in at the same time. That friend is now a new client and that freebie may just pay you back big dividends.

The most obvious way to ensure that your clients don't forget about you - is to stay in contact with them. Again don't underestimate how welcome contact from you will be. This could be a quick email to say hi and ask how they are doing and do they need anything from you right now - in general that's super powerful for your business. Another option is text, a quick hey how are you is a great reminder that not only are you still around but you are thinking of them. Could you maybe pull together a salon Facebook group so that you can all get together and chat ? Lastly don't forget the power of an actual telephone call, especially for your older clients, this will be very welcome especially if they live alone and you know they will be feeling lonely at this time. It a lovely gesture to call say hi check they are ok and that someone is getting supplies etc to them.

If nothing I hope the ideas above give some food for thought.

Hope your all staying safe and well and upbeat.

Kim xx
