Hi everybody.
Time to time i realise, that nail industry is in a great need of good educators, or maybe even society or association who will give a license for education.
I have finished myself more than 10 courses in different countries, have a 10 years of practice and i began to teach about 4 years ago.
I offer several courses as well, mainly on nail design, L&P, chromatics... but when i see a person who wants to study acrylic designs and his knowledge is very pure about the acrylics at all. i mean even the theory. I offer him an acrylic course for beginning, but she shows me a certificate from some education studio, which states that she has finished the acrylic and gel course with a sign "perfect".
Well... ok.. we started with theory and when i realised that she doesn`t even know how to place her hand correctly and how to pick up, i was slightly shocked. Then i thought it was just a student, who doesn`t want to study, but obtain a certificate. Finally we have finished with the course, which was much bigger than just an acrylic design.
In a month time i have 2 more students with the same problem, and all from different educators, even from different cities..
The problem is that, the want to study design, meaning that they are good at extensions, but thats not right.. they are at the 0 level, but being advertised as a masters. Maybe, in a couple of months, they will start teaching, i don`t know..
I think world stricktly needs some association, who will give licenses for teaching people. at the moment it is very easy. everyone is an educator.
what is your opinion?
