I did a thread on this a while ago..search for it there's quite a few replies if i remember rightly.
not good enough for professional make-up services i would say

hi guys

i have a nice set of brushes but i was more interested in knowing about the products? Im just looking to buy some very basic stuff and experiment on friends and family and take some pics to form a portfolio.

im not interested in the longetivty of products just interested in the applicaiton and texture of stuff.

Are there any other brands that are suitable for me at this stage?

Of course once i have the money i will buy proper stuff!!

Beatification I cant find the thread your refering to, can you remember its title?

thanks

Hi beauty beauty,
not come across Elf before but I would recommend Barbara bort Make up - Italian, amazing quality and coverage (good for photographic too),
range is huge but no minimum order so you can pick and choose what you want to start with - Speak to Sophie she is really helpful. www.barbarabort.co.uk - you cannot see the prices online though but they are really reasonable
good luck

If it's just to use for now concentrate on just getting foundation, concealer and face powder as i think this is what u need to spend the most on the rest you can get stuff a bit cheaper and it is more about how it's replied.

I have one of those large eyeshadow pallete's off the dreaded ebay that my boyfriend bought me but i checked ingredients against my make-up i already have and seems fine, it has 88 colours in all absolutely gorgeous colours and the eyeshadow is actually really good.
