Extending very short nail

I have looked back at as many threads as I can about bitten nails to help me with this but am struggling still. The client has a nail that is broken actually, not bitten but the broken edge is not a straight line but really curved round from side wall to side wall. So, applying a form is so tricky as is a tip. Any tips please.
