Thank u
Hi, congratulations for your diploma!! I am slightly disappointed for you that you only carried out 2 brow waxes in college, how about your case studies? With regards to getting wax on hair you don't wish to remove,
here are a few tips that may help you:
Work slowly and carefully, you can use a white kohl pencil to mark areas you wish to remove.
Apply wax in small sections using the tapered end of an orange stick, if you do get a little wax on a few hairs you didn't want to then if using hot wax ( my wax of choice for facial waxing) you can divide and seperate off the hairs you do not wish to remove using the pointed end of an orange stick. If using strip wax this is slightly more tricky but applying a little oil /paraffin jelly over the area prevents adhesion or ideally remove from hairs you don't want to remove before applying strip.
Use tweezing to remove any stray hairs and get a precise finish rather than risk over waxing or removing too much hair, it is better to be cautious than remove too much.
When using strip wax cut your strips small and never reuse more than once as residue may remove hairs you didn't mean too.
I prefer hot wax (specialist for facial area) as I feel it gives a better finish and is easier to use, if waxing generally is something you are keen on and as a therapist it is probably your most sought treatment then it is well worth investing in some specialist training now you have done your foundation training. I was waxed when living in the UK by a colleague trained by Kim Lawless. My colleague was excellent and I have heard that Kim's training is excellent too.
Best of luck and as others have said practise lots and you'll be fine!! Victoria xx
