Eyelash extensions ...confused :(

I done the Marvel eyelash extension course yesterday ,when doing the course we where told , that client could not wear any mascara at all while they have extensions unless they but the marvel lash mascara ?

I have been reading up on alot of sites trying to get a idea of prices and making sure I have got all correct after care treatment and they all say client can wear mascara as long as its not water proof , im confused now

Do you think she was just promoting marvel mascara ? help please I dont want to give wrong info out ...she was admiment that client cannot wear mascara unless it was marvel one

Also clients with light eyelashes do they have to have a tint before extensions ?

if so is it up to 48 hours before ??

I always tell people not to wear mascara, but if they feel they must when coming up to an infil, then only to apply a water based (non waterproof) mascara to the tips and lower lashes. I tell them not to put it anywhere near the bond.

I don't tint fair lashes unless the client wants them tinted so they don't need to wear mascara etc, I actually do the tint and extensions on the same appointment and I haven't found it to make any difference to the bond. Only issue with tinting that I know of is the fact that there are more chemicals going near the eyes.

Clients can use mascara of they wish to do so, however as Jenx mentioned - only water based one. I think your educator was just promoting marvel lash mascara, as you could just as well use any company mascara which is water based.

Yes you can tint lashes and no need to wait, you can do it right before treatment :hug:

Is a bit naughty of them that they put that they say you can only use there mascara I did think it was odd x
