Hi Guys,
Having just done my training in the above my friends mum has asked me to perm & tint her eyelashes. In my training the lady said that sometimes if you put black on somebody with very fair hair it will go ginger. The problem I am having is my friends mum is ginger, so what colour do you use on this, would black just not take as it would go ginger or would it go a different colour. Does this also apply to blue/black? Hopefully I havent over complicated what I have just said.
All advice welcome!!

Hi There

Although I'm only new to this too, I qualified for eyelash tint and perm in March, I have carried out tints o 2 ladies with ginger hair. Both had very fair eyelashes and they did take alot of coverage - make sure you cover the entire lash from root (as close as poss) to tip i was told to sort of "blob" it on so you can see none of the lash coming through - you will prob find this takes awhile as the fair colour just keeps poking through !!

I used Professional Beauty - black on one lady - very striking contrast
then Professional Beauty - grey on another - this was more subtle but still a notable difference.
Hope this helps

Im using hive products, do you think they would still have the same effect?

Wouldn't like to guess, but i shouldn't imagine there to be that much difference between these type of products.
For tint alone i use Prof. Beauty (purely a financial decision), when tint & perming i use Thuya (Fab product !)
Lets hope someone else replies who is more experienced, they may know ?

HI, I always use combinal products, I find they are great. I did a lady the other day and her lashes were really fair, and when I took it off I wasn't pleased with the result so ended up applying more product, then they looked great. some ppl's lashes take first time, others you might need to reapply the product again. also I suppose its how you apply it, I use an orange stick and like the other lady said 'blob' it on, with cotton pads under the eyes. when I learnt at college, we just combed it on, but I feel you get a better result if you can blob it on!!! hope you understand what I mean here!!!

I think my next kit will be thuya, but when I did my training I used a hive kit so I have purchased this just until I become more confident. I wanted to buy thuya because I read that they are the only ones you can perm & tint with on the same day, but when I did my training the lady said you can do both. Thuya is also half the price I have just paid for my hive kit but like I say, I want more confidence before changing kits.

I know what you mean lol, when doing my training we just painted it on with a brush very thickly. xx
