when using white tips do you file out some of the well area ,do you run a line of boost or build along the seam line?

Yes. when using white tips you remove the well area until the tip sits nicely on the natural free edge of the plate.

As you rightly say, you fill the seam line with a little BOOST, and then just buff lightly over when dry to make sure it is smooth before applying the wrap. Then carry on as normal. Well thought out!
