I must preface this with a plea for 50 Shades haters to please not post really negative narrow mixed posts. This is for the open minded among us!

I just wanted to see how many of you have read the books, seen the trailer and are now waiting with bated breath for the film next February! I read the books when they first came out and fell in love with the story. The books weren't that well written, I agree, but the story at it's core, I think, is truly beautiful and captivating. So if you're a fan here's a place to come and share in my excitement!

I personally cannot wait for the film, and have just finished reading the books for the second time, with renewed enjoyment!

That's a bit unfair - we can't share our opinions. Boo.

Ive watched the trailer 5 times already!!! I am way too excited. I read the first and second but never got around to the third. But that's makes me excited for it to be a surprise! X

Not read the books but I heard on the radio that the film is rubbish.

I'm with virtues, gutted I can't post my opinions 😁

Ive read all three, but if Ive read the book first, I usually prefer the book to the film. So Im not excited and February?! It was 3 years ago the book was about, kind of lost its hype in my opinion.

Xx

I read the books... Got bored of them quickly... And the guy playing Christian.... Thumbs down :(

Im sooooo excited after watching the trailer

I haven't read the books and I've heard very mixed responses about them.

What is the big fascination with it?!x

I bought the books and binned them by page 10 of the first. Its like they were written so no one had to worry about understanding big words lol. That said, Jamie Dornan...YES PLEASE. I may watch the film if his chest is out in it, as much as it is in the trailer :)

Wow this is doing so well already!
I'm so excited for it. I've just finished the books again (I might have read all 3 in 5 days...) and have become all obsessed again! I'd never heard of Jamie Dornan until he was cast for this, and looked at him thinking 'ok...this COULD work...' And now I've sen him in action in the trailer and he really is perfect for it! And the chemistry between them!? It's just so damn hot - the whole thing.
Ooh I'm getting all tingly ;)

And to all those who are itching to say something negative, feel free to express your opinions but just, keep it friendly and most importantly NOT JUDGEMENTAL. It's the judging, misunderstanding and assumptions that people make that make me so mad! The 'how can anyone condone abusive relationships?! It's sick!' argument is idiotic - it is not abuse. People fear what they don't understand!

Might've just watched the trailer again...

Ok well in that case I think I'll stick to porn hub. Haven't got time to take in a story. Pictures are just fine.

I just sprayed my yoghurt over the worktop lol. I don't give much of a fig about the plot either, with him wandering about in the (almost) buff...

I don't suppose there'll be a full frontal in this movie...??

I liked the books! I am not much of a reader any way so the way it was written didn't bother me and I found it easy to read. If I can't understand something wether it's a film or book I ditch it and read or watch something I can understand. I really loved the story, it's twilight fan fiction I think so the fact I knew that before I read it I was just picturing robert pattison and he's hot! I can't wait for the film. People are saying oh the characters don't look like them but I think people will change their minds when they watch. Everyone hated Daniel Craig as James Bond at first now people love him. I will be going to watch it when it comes out. Yay! X

i'm not a book reader, I have thought about downloading the audio on my ipod, but never got around to it.

But hey, bring on the film, dont care if its trash, so long as theres lots of steamy sex, nudity, full frontals, and good chemistry, i'm right there :Kissing::Love::wink2:

The oh will be against it, but I ignore him.

Is it on at the cinema in February then ?

There won't be any full frontal man nudity and that will detract from the story. You can bet there'll be loads of boobs and bum though

I would rather watch paint dry. The book was appalling and quite frankly degrading to women.

Think I might watch 91/2 weeks again. That was a good film

And yes it is negative lol

The only good thing was that it got loads of people who don't read reading- which can only be a good thing.
If you want gritty sex then watch Shame- Fassbenders penis deserves it's own oscar for that film- there is an amazing three some which has to be real :)

Most of the real sub/dom community despise the idea of 50 shades because of the insinuation that in order to enjoy being a dom/sub you have to be screwed up and that all you need to calm you of your filthy ways is to fall in love.

Hope you all enjoy but there is much better erotica out there, which isn't dumbed down for an American audience and yes, shows full male nudity, which you won't get in 50 shades- lots of female nudity no doubt though.
