Hi geeks,

My little sister has cerebral palsy and has had a fungal infection on her toenails for about a year. My mums tried using topical treatments but as she rubs her feet on the floor it's hard to let it dry and do it often enough to get rid of it.

But she loves having her nails painted so I was curious to see if there are any fungal nail treatments in a nail polish form that we could try. I've tried googling and searching but thought I'd ask on here.

Any help would be much appreciated xxx

Loceryl nail lacquer from your GP, there are also tablets available for this - again from GP x

Unfortunately topical preparations very rarely work. Oral meds have a better cure rate but they do have side effects x

Thanks, the problem is oral medication may interfere with her other medications so my mums being trying to treat it topically. We will keep trying xxx
