GHD plate loose

Has anyone else experienced this? My GHD's were warming up whilst I was sectioning the hair and then I smelt burning. I looked down & the one plate was hanging off
Luckily I carry 2 pair.
Has this happened to anyone on here before? And if so was there a way to repair them or is it time for hair tool heaven????

I've owned a GHD for 3 years so far, and have had no issues, so don't give up, cause they are awesome, maybe it just happened to be a dud

I wouldn't bother repairing a defective unit, especially if its something thats spring or glue related.

GHD aren't great quality despite their absurd price tags.

How old are they? GHD have an excellent warranty service so it's worth contacting them as you may well end up getting them replaced!
