Okay so I've been going of ghds for a while I've been waiting for mine to break so I can buy cloud 9's. I think the quality has been going down hill, they are breaking more easily and the effect is no where near as good as what they used to be! But now I have seen them in the Argos catalogue nice to see they have loyalty to the salons who supply them! ( I don't supply them as I'm a home salon but I'm annoyed for all salons that do!)

I think the new ghd range is good, but yeah it sucks that they are selling everywhere. Whats the price match like though? If they were undercutting salons that would be the worst.

But at least we have a choice of which products we use and recomment to our clients.

Their ghd 4's for £120 so same price salons were charging and ghd themselves, I diddnt see them in the new cat tho, but they were in the old one, salons stock the newer ones now anyway

Yeah so the 4 is the old range isn't it? But yeah it sucks and is the same way with any hair care manufacturer. You can't blame them, last time I looked at a certain one 80-90% of colour users where home colours, so in a way the box colourists were supporting the industry, and the R&D.

Yea the 4's were out even before the gold (the ones they dropped the temp on) there's been loads since, it's probably a way to get rid of old stock & get a bit more exposure, the companies that do professional & home colours do my head in! I'm constant eye rolling when watching the adverts lol! The new Sassoon one gets me most

The sassoon colour kills me too. I am a tee-gee boy but I have big respect for the sassoon way. Its such a shame at least toni&guy is still mascolo owned.

Poor Vidal. It was clearly his biggest regret when he sold the brand. Apparently Trevor Sorbie suffered the same fate when he put his name to products sold by P&G.
Big mistake, huge!

Yea I'd be so annoyed if they commercialised something is created :(

Totally agree with the Sassoon box dye it's such a shame that such a ledgends name is on a box dye x
