Girls who’s self employed and renting

Hi everyone so I own a salon and am my girls are self employed in my salon my day rate is £20 a day and if they say past opening and closing times it’s £25 for the day . Now they don’t ask me can I stay late they tell me Whitch is bugging me a little and I said after new year I am going to be telling me but as self employed people can they work when they want in my salon and don’t have to tell me ?

If your daily rent is £20, that potentially covers 24 hours.
If they want to work 12 hour days, that’s their choice. You just need to give them access.

You charging more for working different hours to your salon opening hours could be viewed as restricting their ability to trade when they choose to.
If you want to limit or control their hours, you have to employ them.

You are simply the landlord and collect the rent. Anything else could constitute a sham employment situation.

I would just put the rent up to 25 and give them keys

Simple... don't let it bug you make your life and everyone else's life easier
