Say for example, you space and totally forget hair stripper + ash = green. =_= Assuming you get crazy and decide you'd rather go a cool black than try to correct the ash, do you need to lay down some warmer pigment first? I've only ever gone black over red, and this ash is particularly light, given the fresh from the summer at a public pool effect.

Any advice here would be greatly appreciated. <3

Hi, yes! I would always add a red to the mix...are you sure about black? a dark chocie brown is almost always much more flattering. good luck.:)

Any suggestions as to a gentle warm base?

Alternatively I'm light enough that I'm contemplating getting a toner, I was originally trying to get close-ish to platinum without going too crazy.

As for brown, I inherited my mothers skin tone, she's a natural redhead and we both look awful with brown. ^^;;

Hi,
Could you tell me your natural hair colour please? and to clarify you have very fair/cool skin tone?

I use Goldwell colours...I am happy to give you my opinion however I would reccomend visiting a salon for a free colour consultation to asses the condition of your hair before you apply further chemicals. I am also sure that their is a specialist colouring tech geek that would be able to give you better advise!

If it was me! I would probably use colourance (long lasting semi) in 9KG (extra light copper gold) which is quite red! and live with that for a while! poss add blonde slashes.

If my hair was strong enough and I wanted to be light, I would use another colour eraser and the depending on the result, tone or lift to a 11G (gold) or 11GB (gold blonde).

If I wanted to go dark, I would use R-Mix with 4G.

Not sure how much this will help! Good luck. Sara:)
