We had one at college but I'm not convinced it's a useful investment as it stands in a corner and you still have to sweep the hair into it. Perhaps consider a cordless vacuum cleaner, which I think would be much more useful as you can use it to quickly sweep around the salon. I have a small handheld cordless vacuum (Dyson) for when I'm mobile in clients houses. It's brilliant as you can quickly tidy up and save the client from having to do it after you've gone.
Keep in mind the phrase "will it make the boat go faster?" when you're trying to decide what to buy.
