Hi everyone!!

Im having trouble with hand painting flowers and leaves using a double loaded brush.

Do you have to hold the brush at a particular angle?

Does anyone have any pointers?

I have seen a couple of videos, but its not as easy as it looks to me!

I had to do flowers on the EN coarse I've just completed. One design was using a dotting tool and the other was freehand. It took me a while and it wasn't exactly the same as the one on their design sheet but it did look like a flower. Just take a small amount of the paint you are using and swirl it on the nail so its rounder at the top and thinner at the bottom, do this 5 times in a circle and you've got a flower shape. It doesn't matter if they aren't really the same size or shape it looks more realistic if they're not. It's hard to explain in words but I hope it helps

Thanks for the website, will check it out!

Does anyone else use a double loaded brush to paint flowers and leaves etc?
(using two colours on the same brush, usually a dark and a light colour)

I double dip my colours when doing nail art and also when making 3d nail art.

Hi lellipop,

I try to double dip and try to paint flowers...but they just never look like flowers!!!

What brush do you use, and is there a special way you have to hold the brush?
