Hi my name is Rhiannon and I am in the middle of a CND liquid and powder foundation course with Justine, she's fab!

If I pass my course, fingers crossed, I want to start up my own little salon in my summer house in the garden. I have contacted the council about change of use etc and had a friend of a friend come and help design it as part of her interior design course.

If anyone had any helpful hints and tips that would be great.

One big question is before I get to involved in the decorating is will I need a sink installed. I have a utillity room close by clients can use and I can fill up bowls etc but I have a feeling that I will get fed up with going back and fourth etc. My dad is a plumber so it wouldn't be much to put in and as I am hoping to do further courses and pedicure and wax manicures I think it will be a must really. Any thoughts ?

Thank you in advance if you reply.

hi rhinnon

im doing the exact same thing, i was also wondering about the sink thing, its a good idea to have one, but i was also thinking of getting a large flask and filling it withwarm water before the client comes, you can get some pretty cute ones now. anyway good luck with it all hope itgoes well an with your courses, let me know what you decide

Hi and welcome to the site. I would say it is an absolute must to have a basin and access to running water. Pedicures etc would be a nightmare without and if it is easy to do and you know the right folks :green: then definitely do it, you will regret it if you do not.

I totally agee get it done at the start it will be a paint to add later x

Thank you girls for your advice all taken on board
and I will install a sink as you all say.

Thank you x
