Help me get all over silver hair, recommendations on products to buy? Thanks

Hi I’m wanting to get my hair an all over silver colour, an wondering if I can achieve this myself with bought products,I’ve bought box dyes before but my roots never go the same colour as my ends. What am I doing wrong? I’m going to leave a picture so any recommendations are greatly appreciated thanks guys x
