Hi geeks,

kinda stuck here and need advice,I'm taking over a nail bar and beauty room in a hairdressers very soon and everythings going great apart from my prices, you see the girl who had this business before me had all her own individual prices and she advertised them everywhere (which is good) only thing is she charged very little eg. 25euro for a f/s of gel or acrylics and even added nail art in this price, refills were only 11euro..

How do I up my prices without scaring everyone off? Also all her prices are on the hair salons business cards and flyers, how would I get round this

Any help is appreciated,

maybe offer to pay for a new print run of the cards/flyers with your new details on? That way the salon will be happy to ditch the old ones, and they are not expensive.

im in the same situation... i have no idea what to do as this lady has had lots of set back with other beauticians im concernd ill be another notch!

Bite the bullet and pay for a print run!!!!!
For a hundred quid or so you can have all your own stuff going to the salon clients. Why muck about trying to explain that you are not the person on her business cards?
For goodness sake this is your BUSINESS!

I agree persianista. It might cost you more that £100 of business losses to you. That will also build a good relationship with the owner and rest of the staff and I am sure they will appreciate that and will definitely recommend you.

I'm in agreement with you about getting new business cards and flyers made up,great idea! Will be putting that idea to her tomorrow, thanks.

would def get new printing done you wil loose a lot more business trying to explain what the situation is. Good luuck with your new venture hope all goes well for you.

You need to reprint the stuff, if anyone sees the prices advertised anywhere I think you have an obligation to charge that price. I know its not what you want to hear but you gotta get your pricing right or you cant make any money.
