I've posted today already looking for a Salon placement in the Merseyside area.
I'm 25... I have no salon experience, but I am passionate about Hairdressing.. Very!
I have my Level 1 and 2 NVQ and a Diploma.
The Voodou training academy have today told me over the phone that with my age am best going to a community college (Where I done my Level 1 and 2, but they're crap) and getting a placement in a salon unpaid. She said no salon would pay me because i'd be no use to them basically.
She also said that if I went to Voodou and didn't have a paid salon placement i'd have to pay 2 grand for the course. If I find a paid placement th course would be free.
Can anyone please offer me some advice here on my options. I'm really beginning to get fed up now of being told No because of my age, i'm only 25 and have 3 years under my belt of Hairdressing experience. Some people go into it at 30 or later.
