I am trying to establish if schwarzkopf xxl raspberry contains metallic salts or not, I have a list of ingredients but I don't know if any are metallic salt or not. Obv I'm asking as I need to colour over it with a blonde, For some reason I can't copy & paste the ingredients but they are listed on this link if anyone can help?

From experience with the xxl as a whole then yes. It would be best to assume it does to be honest, xxl is the devil incarnate. Xoxo

Could you not take a cutting of the hair and test for metallic salts?

Then you'd know for certain?

I've done a strand test which turned out ok- my usual forte is extensions, I don't colour much, so not entirely confident . I have emailed Schwarzkopf but as yet no reply. I think I'll do another strand test to be on the safe side!

Put your test cutting in peroxide and perm solution and wait for the fizz!
