Hi
Would it be possible for someone to tell me about the benefits of hot stones massage and the dummies guild about hot stones????? lol

I do swedish body massage and Indian Head massage and have found that there is only one salon in my area doing Hot stones and as I've a home based beauty salon and I wanted clients to come relax and be pampered as well as have their everyday treatments so I thought that this would be a lovely treatment to offer,,, and a few of my clients have been mentioning the hot stones,,,,, the only thing is a no nothing really about the hot stones e.g whats it about????? I know that hot stones are used but that is all,,, is it a facial treatment as well?????

Also how popular is this treatment I know not many places offer it,,, I was looking into doing eyelash extensives but I'm not 100% in offering it I don't thing it would work with my clients and I just know that my clients would love hot stones more.

Thank you
Kerry

I've recently trained in ITEC hot (and cold!) stones. I use it as a stand alone treatment, but also mix it in during other types of massage as my clients really enjoy it and it saves my poor thumbs and hands. I have added it to my luxury facials, maicures and pedicures, so I've got something a bit different to offer people.

i think she meant guide ?

I did mean guide sorry.

How would you explain what hot stones is to a client??????

and what's hot and cold stones??????

I use hot stones...
my clients love them and the ones that arent sure about, i just tell them its a much deeper massage than swedish!
you can also incoperate the stones into normal massage, ie the ones with really tight shoulders, you can use the stones to save your thumbs. This gets the clients interested in the full stone treatment.
Its also lovely in the winter.. not so much in the summer as it gets really hot..

I would do the course as its just something different to add to your services :)
