How big is the industry?

I am desperate to find out how big the Salon/Spa industry is.
What is it's value? How many Beauty salons and spas are there in the UK and how many therapists. Can anyone help or point me in the right direction?

In the UK, Habia reports that there are 250,000 employed in the Hair, Beauty and Nail industry. 180k are in the Hair sector.
