How do you formulate for soft coppers when lifting virgin hair?

Base 6 aim to 8.04. Straight 8/04 with 30 vol would come out like a 8/34? How do you keep it from not going too gold? Add a neutral 8? Violet 8?

Add in some neutral like /00. You could always use 10/0 to lift it and then tone afterwards with your desired shade. Remember gold gives brightness copper gives warmth.
