Hi hair pros, I’m posting this as a client - NOT doing this myself - just want to see what you think. I’ve had a consultation with a colourist, aiming for a very very subtle balayage. The issue is that I’ve put colour touch 6/0 (same as my natural level according to previous hairdressers) all over as I started to find a couple of grays on top and for some reason this has come out very coppery, before this my hair was natural except for remains of 2 year old balayage done by same colourist on the ends. She basically said that because of this she doesn’t think she can get my hair any lighter or cooler. She has taken 3 strands for testing and said she will call me and let me know.
How would you approach this colour correction? Would you agree with her it cannot be done? I want to know what I should say when she calls me.
