How to get a job?

Ello!

I am looking at doing a nail course in creative but before i do i am wondering how easy it is to get a job as a nail tech in a a salon if i dont have any salon experience?

Can anyone suggest anything to me?

Hi Heidi,
welcome to the site.... I am not sure how easy it is to get a "job" in London.. but here in australia we "rent" spaces in hair salons and beauty salons.. We pay a certain amount of rent to the owner and what we make is our wage...

There are plenty of geeks on here from London / UK so I am sure that one of those will be able to let you know...

Thank you very much for getting back to me so soon.

I am actually moving out to NZ with my kiwi partner in a few years and am wanting to get as many courses under my belt before i do so....i am looking at doing acrylics and gel nails, massage and hair extensions....i am a make-up artist by trade...do you think that this would put me in good sted on your side of the wtaer's?

Well it wont hurt to do some training in nails..
CND is the BEST..... call Sweet Squared and they wil be able to tell you all you need to know about the training course..
there is a few geeks on here from NZ .. check out the groups.. there is one for aussies and maybe you could find one for kiwi's or just join the Oz group

But how do i find these groups on the site? Stupid question maybe but i am not used to this site quite as yet.

I am still finding my way around... Go to your profile... on the right there should be "user groups" or Social groups.. like on that and it should have a huge list of all the groups that are on here..
take a good look around... i clicked on everything.. still not sure about uploading pics or how to quote someone else's message in my reply but I will get there.
