infilling my nails :-S

ive dont my nails many times but when they start to look rubbish and in need aof a infill i never bothered and jst waited for them to losen and fall off. or soak them off.

I never was taugh how to rebalance. ive tried a few times but when i start filing with the black 180 grit nsi file it just flakes away.. is this normal??

If it is normal what do i do next, do i re apply the l&p and finish??
