Info on having a trainee

Hi guys, info needed for taking on a trainee. We are in Scotland and i was wondering about insurance, registering etc? Currently we have all self employed stylists who have their own insurance and i have business insurance? Do i need employee insurance etc?? I'm so confused.

You would need to have all the same things set in place as you would an employee, if you talk to a local college who would provide the qualification, they can advise you all the intricacies
