Hi does anybody know if I need insurance or do I have to do anything to do extensions at home

Hello ☺️
You will need a certificate of professional training to obtain any insurance. Insurance is a must when working with the public. So they go hand in hand.

If you are only doing friends and family, then no point in forking out for insurence. If you are serving members of the public, then it is essential. You will need to provide your certificates to the relevant insurer to obtain insurence.

We would always recommend getting insurance for any work you are carrying out, whether this be home or mobile, It's always better to be safe than sorry.

Yes, it is necessary to be qualified with a reputable company and to have insurance to cover you and your clients be it, family, friends, acquaintances if something went wrong and they decided to take the matter further as if not they can sue you personally, which would not be a good outcome for you.
Better to be safe than sorry.
