Is there an occasion where you would leave the full well of a tip on a nail?

I was just wondering why we have full well tips when i always remove it? and if pretailoring them then why have such a big well to start with is there a time when you would need all that well or am i just being dim!:)

Having a full well means that when you get clients with uneven hyponychiums (one side higher than the other) or clients who have very high free edges at the sides that you can tailor them for a perfect fit. I've had to do it quite a few times, especially on one of my clients, her free edge starts inbetween zone 1 and 2 and she has very deep natural smiles... a nightmare to do but made easier by tailoring full well tips.

hth's a bit
