Japanese hairstraigtening and hilites

I'm new to postings on this site, I need some advice I hope someone could please help. I'm 6 *months in on having my cosmetology license. Im not in a salon. Currently i barter with friends and family. I have someone interested in having me use Japanese hairstraightening,as well as hilites. How long should I wait between services? My plan is to do the straightening first than hilites. *

umm I tell this Japanese and highlights does not mach,both of them dehydrate the hair so I m not a big fan of it.So be very careful,go with somebody with lots of knowledge.
