Jobs in Australia?

Im moving to Aus in 6 weeks but im worried about getting a job in the industry when im out there. Does anyone know what its like for jobs? Is there many vacancies for beauty therapists???

Australia is avery big country & it's impossible to generalise like that.
Your best bet would be to contact one of the Professional Associations and Talk to them about the area that you'll be in.

Which suburb / state are you moving to? I live in sydney and there is always alot of job opportunities here. But if you are really worried have a look at the employment sites and search for jobs in the area you are planning on moving to, just to get an idea of whats around.

Just an idea:idea:
What about going mobile for a while until you get a feel for things?
Im sure you will make friends quickly so hopefully they will be interested in your services or spread the word for you.
This will give you a bit of time to find your feet and settle in, before going on to salon work. You never know you may actually get a good little business going

Whatever happens, have a fab time and enjoy!!

I'm on the Gold Coast and there are a lot of openings in the industry right now.
As anywhere in the world, a good nail tech is hard to find... so if you are decent you will get work.
I've noticed from reading the boards that Australian standards seem somewhat lower than the UK and USA so I'm sure you will knock socks off
