Lash Extensions - Supplier training or City & Guilds?

I am thinking of taking up lash extension training some time in the near future but can't decide whether to go with the training from the supplier (one day course + 5 case studies) or to do the C&G training that my local college is offering (12 week evening course). I know I'll have to go on to do a conversion course anyway to buy from good suppliers but I wonder whether a one day course is going to be good enough for me to learn about all the differing lengths, curls etc and how to apply them to different kinds of lashes? We offer them in the salon where I work and I've heard some...interesting stories of bad jobs done (take the lady who'd had her bottom lashes CUT because the therapist had stuck them together!!) so I really want to make sure I learn the best way possible. Any advice?
